I have chosen to do the magazine project because its something that I have never done before, and I feel as if it is something I would enjoy to learn more about. I would get to learn about how to design everything and to also take photos and write articles. This seems much more interesting than the filming project.  Some skills I posses that make my choice the best fit includes my photography skills and ability to work a camera. Another skill is have is being able to organize and design, which will help with the magazine layout. A factor that played into my decision was the freedom of what you can put into the magazine. You get to choose the articles and photos that go along with them and also how the magazine is designed. With the magazine project, I would be creating the first four pages and outlining the rest, making sure to include all the advertising, articles, and photos. Some aspects of the film production that interests me based on my experiences in class includes all the different editing techniques. This incorporates all the ways that the different clips of film can be put together. With film, there are so many ways that you can deliver the information that the audience needs to know. Some skills that I possess that would make the film project a good fit includes, my ability to work a camera. I can also write a script or story line for the film. Some challenges may include being able to editing the clips together. I do not have any experience with this. I also would not know how to add in additional affects with the editing process. This includes adding transitions, extra sounds, and more.

Some aspects of the print journalism that interests me based on my experiences include the designing and writing of the articles. This interests me because it gives me so much freedom as to what topic my magazine is going to be about. This allows me to be able to choose any topic that is of significance or interest to me. I am also interested in being able to photograph the topic that I choose. Some challenges that are apart of this project include the creativity aspect. I am not a very creative person so being able to design the magazine cover may somewhat difficult. Also, writing the articles may be a challenge. It will be hard for me to come up with good content ideas. Skills that I possess that would make the magazine project a good fit include a good work ethic. Also, I have some photography skills which are important in order to put high quality work into the magazine.
